The goal
Euskal Diaspora Gunea aims to be usable with a screen reader, with a keyboard only or with enlarged text. The goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This statement is voluntary and sets out what has been checked.
What has been checked
On 19 September 2026 the whole site was reviewed, with these results:
Contrast: every colour pair in the system meets level AA, in light and dark mode.
Automated review (Lighthouse, which includes axe-core) of one page of each type, in light and dark theme: no errors.
Structure of every page: declared language, a single main heading, heading order, alternative text, and named links and controls.
Keyboard: the home page can be navigated with the focus always visible. The globe does not take focus; the list of countries gives access to the same content.
Zoom: the content adapts to a width of 320 pixels (equivalent to 400% zoom) and to increased text spacing, without horizontal scrolling.
Motion: if your system asks for reduced motion, animations are removed and the globe changes position without animating.
What is still missing
It has not yet been tested with real screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver). Automated reviews check the structure, not the full experience.
The globe on the home page is not accessible in itself; all its information is also in the list of countries.
If you find a barrier
