The Centro Vasco Denak Bat of Cañuelas was born in 1960 on the initiative of Raúl Darburo and a group of Basque friends. The Basque Government recognised it on 7 May 1996, and its register credits it with 186 members. In July 2025 it celebrated its 65th anniversary.
