Euskal Lagunak, Inc.

Euskal Lagunak is the Basque club of Mountain Home (Idaho), founded in 1960 by descendants of Basque sheepherders who came to the area from the late nineteenth century. Its signature celebration is the Sheepherders Ball, the sheepherders' dance, which dates from that time and every year, after Christmas, brings the community together to raise money for charitable causes that reach beyond the Basque community. In summer it holds a Basque picnic, which in 2024 reached its 64th edition. The Basque Government recognised it in 1997, and its register credits it with 105 members.
