About the centre
The Kern County Basque Club is the Basque club of Bakersfield (California), founded in 1944 and one of the clubs that created the NABO federation in 1973. The Basques of the city were meeting before they had a club: since 1938 they had held an annual picnic. The Basque Government recognised it on 16 February 1999.
