About the centre
The Basques of Los Banos (California) and its surroundings have gathered to celebrate since 1886, though the Los Banos Basque Club was only set up in 1964 or 1965. Its great celebration is the Basque picnic on the third weekend of May: in 2014, when the club was turning fifty, it brought together 1,200 people. The Basque Government recognised it in 1999.
