Asociación Euskal Echea de Socorros Mutuos

The Asociación Euskal Echea de Socorros Mutuos of Comodoro Rivadavia began as a mutual aid society and is the oldest euskal etxea in Patagonia. It was founded on 20 May 1923 by thirty-three Basque immigrants gathered at the Hotel Vasconia, and in 2023 it celebrated its centenary. It has a dance group, Haize Dantzaria, and a choir, Lagun Artean. Every year it celebrates the feast of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and, since 1982, the Aberri Eguna.
