Centro Vasco Denak Bat de Lomas de Zamora

The Centro Vasco Denak Bat of Lomas de Zamora was founded by ten members on 10 October 1954, and it did not have premises of its own in Temperley until 1960. The founders were María Luisa Ayesta, Lucienne Recalt, Vicente Lizarralde, Ignacio de Achabal, Francisco de Arregui, Ana María Ayesta, José Llodio, Raúl Fagonde, Luisa Narbaitz and Pedro Zubiría. Much of its activity consists of choir, txistu and Basque classes, and it has a close relationship with the Euzko Etxea of La Plata: each centre visits the other for its patron saint's festivities. The Basque Government recognised it on 2 April 1996, and its register credits it with 160 members.
