Txengel Euskal Etxea Koblentz

Txengel Etxea is the newest Basque centre in Germany: it was born in May 2025 in Koblenz, on the banks of the Rhine. It takes its name from the Schängel, the symbolic character of the city, which in Basque is spelt txengel. It offers classes in Basque and in mus, has a txalaparta and holds a patxaran competition, and in February 2026 it was awaiting recognition from the Basque Government.
