Oinkari Basque Dancers

Oinkari Basque Dancers is the Basque dance group of Boise (Idaho), and it owes its name to a trip that some friends from the city made to Euskal Herria in 1960. In Pasaia they met the Oinkari dance group, which suggested they take its name, and that same year they performed for the first time at the sheepherders' winter dance, the Sheepherders' Ball. It is linked to Euzkaldunak, Inc., the society that runs the Basque Center, and together with it organised the first Jaialdi in 1987. The Basque Government recognised it in 1998.
