Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture, Inc.

The Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture is the foundation that Pete Cenarrusa and his wife, Freda, set up in Boise (Idaho) to promote Basque culture. Cenarrusa, born in Carey in 1917 to Biscayan immigrants, was Idaho's secretary of state for almost 36 years and kept his Basque all his life. The foundation dates from 2003, and the Basque Government recognised it in 2004.
