Acción Vasca de la Argentina

Acción Vasca de la Argentina was born as a political organisation. It was founded in 1923 under the name Acción Nacionalista Vasca de la Argentina; in 1933 it became an extraterritorial organisation of the PNV (Basque Nationalist Party), and in 1939 it had to change its name to the one it still bears. Its newspaper, “Nación Vasca”, came out from 1924 to 1998. In 1955 it was one of the organisations that founded the Federación de Entidades Vasco Argentinas, the FEVA, in Mar del Plata. The Basque Government has recognised it since 1995, with 175 members in its register.
